If we must be nationalists and have a sovereign state, we cannot also expect to have world peace. If we want to get everything at the lowest possible cost, we cannot expect to get the best possible quality, the balance between the two being mediocrity. If we make it an ideal to be morally superior, we cannot at the same time avoid self-righteousness. If we cling to belief in God, we cannot likewise have faith, since faith is not clinging but letting go.

Just made 3D scans of my ears to "personalize" the spatial audio experience in iOS 16. Can't tell a difference -- was hoping music mastered in Dolby Atmos would sound less quiet and dry -- anyone tried it and have better results?
Sam Altman has said that the best founders -- those that run $1B+ dollar companies -- answer his e-mails within minutes. Bad founders can take days. How do they do it? How do they balance being "always on" and responsive with the need for large swaths of uninterrupted focus time?
