I wanted to explore rebuilding the NotebookLM Podcast feature and making it more accessible.

Here’s a snippet of a 30+ minute podcast generated by my app after I uploaded The Little Bitcoin Book to it.
Increasingly capable local models (like Llama 3.2 1b & 3b) make me very optimistic about inference at the edge - mostly because of cost.

However, I worry about how limited they’ll be if Apple continues to disallow any kind of meaningful background processing on iOS.
I don’t understand Unichain (and a lot of other “app chains”)
I still can’t get over seeing Linkin Park this week.
Just rented Robot Dreams and found out that it’s entirely dialogue free.
I’ve had a lot of fun tinkering with this over the past couple of weeks. With https://quicksnack.dev, you can rapidly build React Native apps using AI.

I was musing earlier today about how all the tools (v0, Claude Artifacts, Replit) for quickly building apps with LLMs are focused on the web.

But what about native mobile apps? So I spent my day off building an MVP of the solution.

ASI (Artificial Snack Intelligence) has been achieved internally.

After witnessing a few (heroic, IMO) attempts and + more real-world examples of fiat’s shortcomings, I’ve come to believe that ‘Decentralized Stablecoin’ might be a misnomer.
I wish Warpcast would auto suggest the best channel to post something in.
I fucking love this song.

- It’s house music (Afro house).
- it’s in English & Yoruba (my native language).
- It’s about technology, hackers & how they’ve made life (too) easy.

It’s a perfect cocktail. https://anniemusic.app/t/3902
I’m aligned with e/acc, but the backlash to this video feels disturbingly mob-like and lacks the nuance you’d expect, especially given the criticism of deccel culture.

- The video clearly and accurately summarizes complex technical details, while acknowledging its speculative nature.

- It highlights both the potential benefits and risks of AI, without dismissing either.

- Finally, it’s not presenting anything radically new—figures like Elon Musk, Sam Altman, and even Tim Urban back in 2015 have all discussed the idea that computers might one day surpass human intelligence and the uncertainty surrounding that future.

Started rewatching Lord of The Rings. It’s been far too long. Considering I say the words Gandalf & Sauron every single day.

(We name a lot of services & sprints after Norse mythology)
In Dune (both the source material and the movie), I can’t quite get over the fact that Feyd-Rautha’s birthday fight is actually more of a testament to him being wack vs the Bene Gesserit conclusion that he’s impressive.
Spotify is coming to @gandalf :)

Is there any substantive evidence that companies like Open AI are lobbying for restrictive regulation?

It’s a thing that everyone says but I haven’t really seen anything that makes me believe it to be true.

Slightly new look for the gandalf.network website.

🚢 Heimdall GPT - heimdall.chat is an AI assistant that helps you access, analyze, and visualize your spending habits on Amazon, Uber, Instacart, Booking.com & Uber Eats.
I like this a lot. Hope it catches on.
