Walks in the setting sun hit just a little different.
The road cutting through here is the Whiteface Mountain Veterans Memorial Highway which you can take from the base of Whiteface after paying your toll (the toll booth was built in the early 1930s). It's 5 miles long and gets you almost to the summit.

Have an amazing weekend! Hitting the road early with the fam. Going to do a loop around this lake with them Sunday morning to wrap up our visit to Lake Placid. Tomorrow we will enjoy good food, drink, and the little shops in town after we get on the mountain coaster (RIP my pinched nerve 🤣).
