You are caught up.

This year I let go of a small percentage of my need to control everything around me, especially the big things that I can't control.

As many will know, it's always a work in progress. When you want to control things and keep hard things from happening in your own life or others, it doesn't just go away with you skipping and singing 'que, sera, sera.'

But letting go of any percentage is a big jump. 0 to 1 in this area of life is a big deal. I don't know what percentage I've let go of, but it's more than on Jan 1, 2024 so let's call it a small W and try to stack the small Ws.

What have I gained by letting go of some control? I'm not sure. I don't know that I feel it yet. But I know I've gained something.

So....this is fitting....I don't do a lot of trading, often slow to try new things and my first use of Bankr has put him in maintenance mode. 🤦 🤦 🤦

(I already messed up my earlier cast 🤦 so THIS is my first time using Bankr)

This year I learned that I can succeed in web3 as someone who is more of a thinker and plodder than most. For the first 2 years in web3 I thought this would cost me 'success' and I would just learn and be an observer here. But 2024, showed me there is plenty of room for me (and people like me).

I became very comfortable with missing out on lots of things because of this and confident in choosing a few things to be involved in deeply. It has been a great year in web3. There is room to be successful financially and deeply involved in community as one who is not 'degening' every day but here for the people and where we'll be in 5 years.

As I write this, I actually realize that it was my shift to Farcaster as a home in web3 that allowed me to learn and experience this. Interesting point that I may not have realized without the prompt below. Thanks @markfishman 🫡
