I spent the week working on a different post about competition and game theory. But then, scrolling headlines over the last few days, I came up with this idea.

Nice, here's another good one
The fun part of writing on the internet is that you just never know.
Sometimes you might produce a work that you think is at the staggering genius level. And then no one reads it, or "likes" it.
Other times, you publish a quick work, one of those ideas that is only half cooked, and it takes off.

This is great

As part of the Devconflict writing contest, hosted by @kiwi & @Gnosis-DAO, I wrote about the scaling to billions debate.

It’s a starter pack, starter pack
If you were going to write a book, in a serial format, in public, and onchain, how would you do it?

What's the best primer on game theory?
At first I thought the fragmentation of social media would be a positive thing.
But right now I feel like I can choose what reality I want to plug into by choosing the social platform I open in the morning.
I'm all about different styles and different kind of content or fresh perspectives and unheard voices.
But actually choosing what version of the world you want to interact with feels, well, dystopian.
I think we need to have some kind of shared experience that we can all believe is real, otherwise...what happens?

The alt title was "Predictions for prediction markets," but I walked away from that for obvious reasons:

If I wanted to create a generative NFT that makes a new variation of a header I use in my weekly email newsletter -- what would be the best way to make that happen?
One of the quotes that hit for me from the @ethereumfilm was from Ethereum researcher Danny Ryan early in the story.
“I’m either going to work on this stuff or I’m going to live in the woods. I don’t think there’s much in-between for me.”
I wonder who else that resonates with?

Did I miss a big channel update?
I wrote a little piece about @ethereumfilm and was trying to post it in Ethereum-related channels, but I'm not a member so I can't post it there.
I'm slightly confused because I thought the prevailing advice up until now was to cast into new and different channels to expand reach and engagement.
Seems like making all channels members-only will just compound the fishbowl effect.

Pretty crazy how many central bank digital currency projects are in some phase of research, development, or pilot -- but how little we still know about all of the costs and benefits.

Recap from the game: A's walked it off with a play at the plate.
The guy next to me dump his beer on his head to celebrate.
I will miss the Coliseum.
It might be dated, or imperfect, but it's also one of a kind.

Headed to see tonight’s game…
“These days have been ones of great emotion for longtime A’s fans. They are making final pilgrimages to the ballpark where they grew up, where they brought their kids, where they fell in love with baseball, where they found a community. They are finding ways to say goodbye.”

Back in the day people started calling narrative nonfiction new journalism.
The idea, or the newness, was to make information or big ideas more accessible through storytelling and deploy tactics like scene setting and character development.
My take is that the next new journalism wave will feature onchain analytics and onchain analytics platforms.
For sure there are all kinds of great stories to tell, and big nuggets of information to expose, from the endless streams of data.
It's cool to see new analytics platforms come to life and grow.
I think the next wave of adoption for these platforms will be when reporters start to use this info to tell stories and give more context to what is happening onchain in realtime.
Innovation, access, power, control, fraud, grift, all of elements that make great stories are right there in the data.
We just need more people to help bring them to life.

I was trying to get a better handle on the Base ecosystem.
Along the way, I started to keep track of new projects.
That turned into a Notion table or a database tagged by use case and with other info, like social links.
I decide to make the database public in case other people are looking to do their own research or want more info on how to get onchain.
