Suddenly had an epiphany that I need to train my lumbricals (the muscle that flexes the MCP joint) to get better at slopers.

Now i’m grabbing everything with that joint.
Climber problems: back from a trip to Japan and I can’t unlock my macbook anymore
A really nice double coordination problem at a gym in Nagoya
Training in japan now.

Goal is to improve my movement and learn from their unique setting. Journey starts in Osaka and will end up in Tokyo.
Back to reading Real world cryptography by David Wong. It’s really a fantastically written book for crypto beginners and the best I’ve read so far.

Going to try and make sure I understand all the maths in it and go back to basics when I can’t understand such as algebra and number theory

Wish me luck!
Who has read this book? I’m trying to get back into maths. Last time I studied maths was when I was 16 and although a lot of the fundamentals are still there, a lot has been forgotten.

Anyone have advice for those getting back into maths?
Reminder: double check you have the right passports before you leave for the airport
Back to learning maths notation for the sake of learning maths for the sake of learning cryptography for the sake of getting back into ZK.

So much has changed in ZK in the last 3 years since I studied in the first 0xPARC cohort. Except my maths skills
Finding my feet again!

Last little climb before training in Japan for a month!
Pulldown to pullup!

Thanks Limes for keeping the pulldown pyramid scheme going

Since my ankle sprain in February I’ve shied away from any hard slabs, with minimal hand holds and mostly foot movement. It used to be strength of mine and I’m finally making steps to getting back there.

Felt like a milestone after my grade 3 ankle sprain to finally get some confidence back!
Widegrip lat pulldown has been a staple of mine for a while to improve my extended compression position.

Great to see the improvement in both the weight/reps but also in climbing. I used to only ever do pullups at shoulder width and i didnt realise how different they are

Been working on my widegrip pullups for climbing for close to a year now. They were a real struggle where I could only do 3-5. Pretty happy with this improvement doing very little pullups and mainly lat pulldown to reduce the load
Fun little dyno that felt impossible until it felt possible!
A fun one yesterday whilst hanging out with @pinged’s brother! Ended up doing a double sesh, first in taipei and then in taoyuan with about 2 hours rest in between.

Funny how the body after about an hour gets super tired ready to recoup, but after some food and a warmup i was ready to go again.
Pretty bummed that OSS that even had compliance tools can be under attack like this.

Was feeling sorry for myself 3 months ago tearing all the ligaments in my ankle. 3 months later i can walk run and climb.

Saw my friend today who took a 15m ground fall, 5 surgeries and 35 days later he can’t even situp for more than 30 minutes. And he can’t use the loo.

There’s always someone worse off…
Ankle is progressing! Able to jump off it with no pain.
My first V6, 11 weeks after my ankle sprain! It’s still only feels 70%, but feels good to be back up to a decent level at climbing again
If you're creating privacy tools, it would be wise to do it anonymously. Sad times for open source software.
With enough perseverance you can recover from any setback.

Also with enough stem cells apparently.

Day 65 of my grade 3 ankle sprain. Climbed again today. I took a few slight uncontrolled falls. It’s kind of crazy how i felt little to no improvement a week or two ago and with some more aggressive training (jumping side to side, front to back, criss crossing) the body reacts very quickly and feel 75% healed now
