My experience is that growth comes from pushing into the unknown -- especially if you hear the call.

Whether leaving a stable teaching job—for the second time—for a career in crypto or leaving teaching for the first time to move to another country, the most valuable lessons came from daring to take action and face the unknown. The path is risky, but so is everything. You need to have faith in yourself to handle what comes.

We may succeed or fail, but either outcome is better when it comes on our own terms.

“If we listened to our intellect, we'd never have a love affair. We'd never have a friendship. We'd never go in business because we'd be cynical: "It's gonna go wrong." Or "She's going to hurt me." Or,"I've had a couple of bad love affairs, so therefore . . ." Well, that's nonsense. You're going to miss life. You've got to jump off the cliff all the time and build your wings on the way down.” - Ray Bradbury

Does everyone pin conversations on Telegram, or am I just late to this game-changer?
Any Fareed Zakaria fans here? Just arrived today!
This book has been on my shelf for a long time. I'm glad I finally got around to it. What a great antidote to some of the pessimism expressed in our time.
Valentine's Day brings to mind one of my favorite opening lines from the novel "Love in the Time of Cholera" by Gabriel García Márquez.

“It was inevitable: the scent of bitter almonds always reminded him of the fate of unrequited love.”

A helpful tip for organizing your vaults that I have found is to open the corresponding folder source on your desktop. There you will be able to organize and move your different notes and folders easier than doing it directly in Obsidian.
Frens, are we one vault or multiple vaults?
My biggest Farcaster regret is that I was early enough to lock in @carlos but did not. Well played, sir.
StrongLifts has a really good app. Recommended. I had used StartingStrength, but StrongLifts is a lot more feature rich.
It's fair to say that, given Solana's recovery from the downtime yesterday and the overall positive sentiment, the NFT communities that stayed during the drop to $8 contributed significantly to its recovery. For non-technical participants, NFT communities are key to a network's success. Also, quick shout out to $BONK.
Lost my active again. What is the criteria?
Because of Obsidian I am returning to the books I've read over the years and recording their notes in my new vault. Seeing graph view grow is addicting,
If you watched Griselda on Netflix, do yourself a favor and watch Cocaine Cowboys.

Finished Griselda and while it was entertaining, they made her character something she wasn't. Cocaine Cowboys and its sequel focusing on her painted a very different picture.
This book changed my view and approach to writing while in college. The Artist’s Way is getting love, but Natalie Goldberg deserves some renewed attention.
Seth was writing about us but didn't know it.

"...I'm talking about people who are making an affirmative choice to be weird. Most people who make that choice are paradoxically looking to be accepted. Not by everyone, of course, but by their tribe, by people they admire and hope to be respected by."

What book had a huge impact in the way you viewed the world and your place in it while in your early 20s?
