I unfollowed another channel today. The channel had this mod bot thing and the settings include “power badge” meaning there are still secret power badges I guess. So the reason I severely limited my posting on WC is still slinking around in the background.
Here is the thing, if we need rope lines and goons to protect channels OK. That is what this place is. But really that just is substack not a sort of social commons. So call the people who are allowed “contributors” and pick them rather than just making it the first 100 people through the door before the bots became too much of a problem.
However - my response is going to follow my response to a rope line. The channels that gate keep like this just aren’t going to have any content in them that really merits my following them (like 99% of substack).
Which is my new official policy. I just unfollow these gated channels completely.

@rodeodotclub apparently it is possible to scroll back in time far enough that you see negative amounts of minting time left.
