Very happy to have contributed to this digital zine, released today on Metalabel.

My piece dives into the process of creating & releasing Spectres, a web3-native album inspired by Jungian psychology.

Big thanks to @soundoffractures for curating & editing, @cxy for executive producing, @roundpotatocat for producing, & Ana Carolina for the beautiful design.

Interesting that the first use case for Ethereum Vitalik mentioned in 2014 was peer-to-peer messaging. I know this exists, but no one seems to be using it.
Who here is on Nina? I have a favour to ask.

My debut album Spectres is one of this week's Community Picks. If you have a Nina account, please add it to your favourites to help it get covered by the (excellent) editorial team 🙏

The final single from Spectres channels the Anima, which Jung defined as "an archetypal image of woman in the male psyche... a pervasive influence in a man’s life. The anima is the archetype of life itself."

OK, here's a thread compiling all 35 tokens @aethernet created with @clanker, in chronological order.

If I've missed any, let me know!

And if you find this useful, feel free to tip me $HIGHER so I can join /higher 🙏
Has anyone done a thread quoting all the aethernet x clanker token creation casts?

We need all aether's original prompts and all clanker's token contract addresses in one place.
Jung called the archetype of the Child "an image of both the irrecoverable past and an anticipation of future development."

What's unfolded here over the last couple of weeks is pretty wild. This is a good summary from @musicben.

The next single from Spectres deals with the archetype of Death—something we must all confront eventually, literally but also metaphorically.

I was just listening to De La Soul's classic debut album 3 Feet High and Rising, which has just been re-released to mark its 35th anniversary.

The sweeping string figure in "Transmitting Live From Mars" sounded really familiar but I couldn't place it so I checked whosampled and found out it was from the 1968 hit "You Showed Me" by The Turtles.

But while I was there I saw that the drums on "Transmitting Live From Mars" are sampled from Wilson Pickett's 1969 cover of Lennon–McCartney's classic song "Hey Jude". I'd never heard this cover, and it's amazing! The gospel vibe works perfectly, the arrangement is spot-on, and Pickett's vocal performance is incredibly powerful. Check it out:
