The last few seasons have been running on luck (Rodrygo/Joselu) and generational talent (Modric), something that has been less frequent this season.
I think Ancelotti's substitutes today demonstrate how poor RM recruitment has been quite poor/speculative in recent seasons: Ceballos, Fran Garcia, Endrick. Mbappe has objectively made the team worse. There's very little depth beyond the starting eleven.
Ancelotti will probably make way for Xabi Alonso. A bittersweet ending, but the start of a new era.

Isak is him, one of the most consistent striker in Epl. I just hoped one day chelsea will know how to sign a proper one like him. You cannot have him in your team and lack goalscoring.
