Google is implementing C2PA

C2PA authentication is a technical standard that includes image origin information and works on both hardware and software to create a digital footprint.👁

☝🏻Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Arm, OpenAI, Intel, Truepic, Sony, Nikon, Canon and Google support C2PA authentication.

🔻Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom applications will add C2PA data to all images edited in them.
🔻Nikon, Sony, Canon cameras will leave metadata indicating which camera the photo was taken with.

Google is also planning to introduce technology to determine the source of a photograph , which will also help to find out whether they were taken on camera , edited in Photoshop or created using Generative AI.
