I find myself writing emails to internet strangers more often than I have in a long long time. If I come across something I enjoy, I just take another step to send them a quick note. Proof of human or something.

It’s annoying AF when I see a cast that is timely only to realize the timeliness passed quite long ago. I don’t have an example, but I feel like I see this fairly often.
I was on a jury for four weeks in Jan/Feb 2020. One of my fellow jurors worked at NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) and gave me an open invitation to bring the kids for a special tour, not just the regular one that anyone can do. On June 15, 2023 I finally was able to take him up on the invitation. While we were there, we got to see the Europa Clipper spacecraft being built and today, in a few minutes actually, it's being launched.

Finally finished the second book in the Three Body Problem series, The Dark Forest, and promptly purchased the the third one. Looking forward to watching the TV series once I finish the third book. I liked the second one better than the first so far.
