Morning frens,
No ceramic class today, my teacher is on holiday, so the lab is closed. Still, I really feel like working with clay, so I might use some of the stash I keep at home.
I wish I had a studio of my own, but my โart studioโ is literally my childhood room, the same space where I live, work, and do everything in between.
There was a time when the lack of space or comfort wouldโve stopped me from starting a project, but now I just want to express myself freely.
The space might not be big, fancy, or camera friendly and every time I want to make something physical I have to rearrange everything, only to tidy it all up again, but thatโs okay.
I wonโt let anything stop me from creating.
And neither should you.

This hits differently today, because one of my frens text me yesterday evening saying she finished reading my poetry/visual collection Bonfire which I wrote last year. I shared that piece of art in autumn with her and we never mentioned it again, knowing she would need her time to sit with it.
She is one of the only two people I've share that body of work with yet.
It's not like I wanted a feedback, more about knowing she would see me through the lenses of that work too sort of scared me.
Bonfire is a shattered mirror, a destructed diary: pieces of myself glued together.
Bonfire is one of the darker and deeper work I've ever created, and seeing how that story of mine could relate with her so deeply too left me speechless.
What she said to me was so beautiful, and ultimately she thanked me for showing her a side of herself she was not fully in contact with yet.
It's in days like this that I think that I could not do anything in life but to keep creating art.

Back from the ceramic lab!
Oh wow, finally saw a secret work Iโve been doing for a while out of the oven and finished and Iโm honestly obsessed and I cannot wait to show it to yโall! Unfortunately I canโt yet.
In the meantime very excited about starting something new, hands back into clay sculpturing - feels good

On my way to the ceramic lab, I have a few new ideas I can't wait to start working on, spring is here so hopefully soon I'll also be able to use my own pottery wheel too and make more cutesy pottery.

What do you think?? The final pearly touch I think itโs pretty nice.
Doesnโt show much in picture but I can assure u can see the refraction of light and it looks good.
Very happy with the whole process to make these and how they turned out to be. Also very glad none of them broke in the final fire! ๐โจ
