When can we start calculating CAC for airdrops?
I don’t think anyone truly understands how high it is.
Let’s make CAC cool again.

I think the standard should be building a product so good your customers AREN’T begging you for a token.

They just want the product because it solves a painpoint that well.

I’ve had the same “pending” request dm with no actually dms in the request inbox the last couple of weeks. Is this a known bug? Just wanted to share if helpful.

I’m running a Sprint Week this week with a company to redo their whole website, brand, and messaging.

I’ve been running Sprint Weeks for 9 years, but here’s a couple observations from this week so far:

1. Time constraints have unnatural abilities.
2. Rewriting a homepage headline is incredibly cathartic.
3. Simplicity is an art.
4. Designers are the real cool kids.

Really know how to kick you when you're down.

On the bright side, I'm still getting PR placements without even trying. Can't stop, won't stop that marketing grind. 😜

I struggled writing this, but I finally put thoughts together to share.

A few weeks ago, we decided to officially shut down @holder.
I loved every minute. It was an honor to build this company. So many lessons learned. I'll be writing and sharing more in the future about the founder journey, but initial thoughts here:

When I started @holder, we assumed that brands in web3 would want to communicate with customers in similar ways as web2 (1:many, text-based subscriptions like email).

While I still believe it will come, the truth is a new medium of customer comms was needed (channels, memecoins, NFT mints, many:many communities, etc).

And realistically, it needs to be 10x better, not just comparable or better. we’re not there.

Personally, I think we’re setting the bar too low as builders (& investors). Too much focus on financial outcomes drives unnatural behaviors that aren’t real consumer value.
