is kids screen time *just* an urbanism problem. i was thinking about '2nd order effects' following a discussion b/w @rrhoover and @furqan at Founders, Inc. this summer. the trigger finally came via Steyn Viljoen on the Sublime slack: https://k7v.in/kids-screen-time-is-an-urbanism-problem

I was wearing this white Ketchup t-shirt last Saturday during a 5k run in the Golden Gate Park. Julian might have been the first -definitely not the last- to come and ask me how much I like Ketchup. Later on while we were getting our morning coffee at Flywheel, someone came and asked me if I was also working at Heinz. That’s when I saw his sweatshirt -Ketchup related of course- and we all had a good laugh and started talking. First question from him being: 'where did you get this?' and since it’s coming from my favorite burger spot in France, it led us to talk about Lyon, the food scene, SF and so on.

Design wise: THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT GOOD MERCH SHOULD BE. Discussion starters.

I'm on my longest streak re: writing on my own blog and what triggered it all is the Lonely Writers Club experiment from Metalabel last year; which made me reflect on @anua's 'Accountability as a Service': https://k7v.in/on-the-proliferation-and-efficiency-of-writing-circles -- and conclude: 'next time you feel you've a hard time achieving XYZ, you might want to join a group of people who share the same goal rather sooner than later. It might be life-changing at the end.'

4-35-200-1300: it took Mathilde, @maximetrap and I, 4 weeks in San Francisco to gather 35 people to get a uniquely designed label with a chip inside sewn on their denim by local tailors; generating 200 taps during the night -playing a ‘tap them all’ game- which triggered 1,300 notifications total.
