It took me some time to organize my thoughts, ideas, and feelings in the face of what happened.
In short: FlannelCapital, after two years since our last conversation, has acquired no less than five 1/1s, complete with their respective physical pieces.
Amazing, but that’s not all.
I received a message from him that encapsulates the very definition of the happiness an artist can feel when their soul encounters one kindred to it.
Flannel not only appreciated the works from an aesthetic and material perspective but also took the time (a lot of time) to study them, read what I wrote about them, internalize what I had written about the various collections containing the pieces he collected, and, most importantly, he understood them.
He understood what I wanted to express. He grasped the multiple layers of thought I employed to bring them to life.
And if it’s true that the artworks he collected had a price, his gesture is priceless.
