All compound growth feels slow, before it is fast.

- Remember when there were 100 cases of a new virus in Wuhan?
- Remember when Facebook was only for college students?
- Remember when Amazon only sold books?

Systems that drive compounding growth on autopilot need to be optimised and fine-tuned before they become powerful.

It's slow, it's unsexy, but it's this daily grind that pays off eventually.
Spent too much time looking for b2b leads on LinkedIn, I neglected my fav @farcaster 👀 Fun to be back!

What did I miss?
I moved months ago and still haven’t found a decent (dog-friendly) co-working space 🥲

Where do you guys work from?
I think there’s real value in self care as a way to soothe oneself. Just as a parent would console a child with a cup of warm chocolate milk.

But to me, a lot of ‘selfcare’ screams: I am trying so hard to gain back control and won’t face what’s going on inside 🥺 I am all too familiar with this habit.
I love seeing the exact amount companies pay for new user referrals. Feels like I have magical insight into their cost per acquisition 🤠
How I feel about posting on LinkedIn every day. Reality is it's great for b2b lead gen, but there's so little to like about it 😭
I love Naval’s « read what you love until you love to read ».

👇🏼 my personal pyramid, from ‘easy’ to ‘hard’:

1. Romantic/family dynamic novels
2. Psychotherapy (e.g. Irvin Yalom)
3. Behavioural economics/psychology
4. Metaphysics/philosophy/science

What’s your pyramid?
How do we feel about an edit cast feature?

(Sorry if this has been mentioned before)
Where do you go for book ratings and reviews? Goodreads seems awfully skewed.
A book I swear by (as should every marketer/founder). Don't listen to me, listen to Charlie!
Started reading 'Transformative Experience' by L.A. Paul. She was also on the Sam Harris podcast last year. They covered decision-making with the limited information you have today.

e.g. How can one decide to have kids or not w/o knowing what it's like to be a parent?

Highly recommend listening to the episode.
re: financially responsible girlies, I've been using this Chrome extension called Locker. It's a col way to keep wish lists in a nice overview.

Since I started I've become so much more mindful of the stuff I want in the moment but stop wanting 2 weeks later.

It's called wantlocker.com
Bought some art but now the question… where to hang it?! 🥺
Happy Friday! I met 4 Frenchies + mine today 🤩
More people reading = net positive for society.

Is there a protocol rewarding people for reading yet? Pay me to read, please.
The number one best predictor for retention? Your onboarding.

Whatever happens there has a disproportionate impact on retention.

Sprinkle in a ton of value, WOW moments, memorable UX copy, personalisation.

Am I the only one who is confused if pilates actually works…

or if it’s just a remainder of all the years of strength training?

There’s a trend on TikTok around mindful spending, anti-retail therapy.

I love them, but something doesn’t sit quite right for me. I actually LOVE supporting companies, trying new products, and buying stuff.

Q: what are other ways to explore trends, support companies, try products without over-spending?
Couldn’t agree more, @pedrowww is a fellow marketer w/ awesome advice. So fun to put a face to the name 👋🏼
How founders can build trust among users/buyers
1/ Your buyers are buying bc they don't trust you.

A few (unexpected) things founders can do to inspire trust 👇

1. Acknowledging any weakness (our product is NOT good for X). Famously Listerine advertised this.

2. Founder's story or "why we're doing this thing", think Elon Musk or also reluctant hero story
Favourite magazines for when you need a break from all things tech? I like these for the beach!
