Where are the best places to shop for lamps and lighting? Either modern or vintage.
My interior design aesthetic preference is modern Indian (no this is not my home)
Real paintings in shops are cool. This one was really well done with the perspective
Oh man, getting new countertops was an exhausting 3ish week adventure but it’s over!

The new ones also look pretty snazzy imho

We started him off with first flush darjeling early. I’m obsessed with the Tea House at Grace Farms.

Microwave oven still on back order but coming.

My partner and I now sleep on opposite sides of our bed, so I swapped the our dresser drawer sides as well. No more walking over and disturbing her side to grab clothes in the morning while she's sleeping. Easy QoL win.

Best places online or bigbox brand to search for table lamps & task lighting? Looking for a combination of vintage and well-designed contemporary designs. We're hitting the local vintage stores soon.

The paint is going up and we’re really excited to see it finished at the end of the week.

Isn’t it just gorgeous?!
The power of closed and hidden storage systems is that I’ve packed and moved nearly everything except for my furniture and it still looks like I’m fully moved into my old home.

I'll start, my wife and I occasionally invest in something we would consider a lifetime furniture purchase—something we'll keep forever

This simple caned armchair from Brazilian brand Uultis is one of those pieces https://www.1stdibs.com/furniture/seating/armchairs/soho-curved-cane-back-chair-teak-wood-finish-oatmeal-fabric/id-f_33274212/
random tip for anyone who wants overhead lighting but find most lightbulbs too harsh-

consider getting half-chrome lightbulbs! they are essentially lightbulbs w the bottom half coated in chrome (silver or gold)

reference pic + will link the ones I use in comments ⬇️
Interior Designers: “that’s $5k do the consultation and the decor is market up 10%”

Home Stagers: “I’ll be done in 45min and if you want to keep everything it’s $2k”
My favorite corner of our house with the best lighting
My wife is such a pro at finding sweet non box store items. This is a new vanity for the guest bathroom we’re remodeling.
