Updated thinking for consumer crypto: I’ve gone from “why should this be onchain” to “why not onchain” — very different mindset than 2021
If we’re able to reduce the costs of being onchain (financial + ux) then the downstream benefits of web3 (permissionless, interoperable, user sovereignty) vastly outweigh the negatives
L2s like @base and smart wallets have demonstrated that even today the costs are so much lower than even a year ago and will only go lower
