New UPS for our server will guarantee 30 minutes up time in case of an outage. This is more than enough time to safely turn off the servers safely to avoid corruption. One more step in the right direction for our home data center.
For the first time ever. My project is sharing the alpha. Here's a live demo of our platform. What you should know.

Deploy Jupyterhub notebooks, VS Code Servers, and Rstudio environments ✅

Built COMPLETELY using on-premise hardware and decentralized infra. No centralized cloud or 3rd party ✅

On demand access to GPUs ✅

This is the future..share wide and far.
At what point does my home lab turn into a home data center. What's the criteria haha
Right now we have a rack of 4090s but before the end of year we will have a rack of A100s. Yay.
We are running inference on a protein model and when it completes in a couple days we will have huge implications for cancer research. I need to get better at marketing. What we are building I'm so fucking proud of and my stakeholders tell me we are one of maybe a 100 projects in the world running these types of models.
New UPS required us to hire an electrician to get dedicated 30 AMP circuits lol
gm fam thanks for following me here ☺️
I really don't give our small team of two (me one of them) enough credit for our home lab. We have a Kubernetes cluster running with Argo and kubeflow with four GPUs connected to it. Not only did we build the hardware piece by piece the software architecture was put together with virtually little documentation to support us. I'm proud.
Working on our distributed data storage network some today
Is anyone interested in hardware as a service. Secure private GPUs on demand and Jupyterhub notebooks all accessible over the web. Looking to work with scientists who need compute or small businesses that need some sort of hosting. If interested in the idea happy to meet up for coffee.
Here's our current homelab. We support things from Media Server all the way to AI training and inference.
Techno determinism will kill any traction crypto has at being an agent for social change. Change will only occur when people's movements take hold like a fire. Anything else is just theater. Liberalism isn't saving any of us.
Trickle down equality is an attempt to further marginalize trans/queer folk into a class system that only works for white males. The idea that lgbtq activism leads to reform is short sighted. The only way to enact change against heteronormativity is to seek abolition: Death to the police, prisons, and capitalism.
Gender is a construct designed to control
@holonym was at the Digital Chamber Summit in D.C. this last week discussing with policy holders the future of zero knowledge, digital privacy, and security. Overall I was surprised at how receptive people were to our solutions. I think the U.S. is slowly warming up to blockchain.
Shill me your favorite used book stores in Chicago. I really like Bucket O' Blood Books and Uncharted Books. I enjoy horror, political science, philosophy, psychology, sociology, history, and sometimes sci-fi.
Good morning DevRel fam what are the essential resources that should be on my radar?
Serving up business woman this morning. On my way back to Chicagooooo.
I wanna learn Go. Where do I start? I most prefer reading books or walking through real code tutorials.

If you like extreme horror from a queer lens then I can't recommend Alison Rumfitt enough. She's a brilliant writer who will shock you with her graphic depictions of life in a traumatized world.
