Has anyone tried out the Brainstem Reflex R&D wearable? Looking into getting something like this for my family, as a privacy-preserving and data-sovereign alternative to Oura.

how @hairdao drives down both the cost and time it takes to do research:
1. leverage community for research idea generation
2. in-source lab work
3. automate away expensive labor

.@hairdao is where the theoretical benefits of DAOs turn to reality
So far it has:
-filed a patent
-launched a shampoo
-developed a drug that is regrowing hair
-launching its own telehealth
Some observations on what HairDAO is getting right

Ever thought about how DeSci could help prevent lobotomies? 🧠
Yup, us neither - until we learned about Project ACCeleration which focuses on brain tissue regeneration.
Sounds like science fiction? It's not! 🧪 A number of other companies have already begun work on brain tissue replacement, however, none are focusing on the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC)—the area of the brain responsible for attention, impulse control, pain, emotion, and decision-making, which makes us distinctly human.
Issues in the ACC are linked to several severe mental health disorders and in the most extreme cases, surgical interventions where lesions are formed on the brain still occur!
The research team has asked a fundamental question: If we can replace other organs in the body, why not brain tissue? And how can we restore it to full function? 🔬

Why has the UK has just decided that they will not cover the cost of lecanemab, one of the few Alzheimer's medications on the market?
➡️ The drug only moderately slows down the disease
➡️ There are risks of serious, even deadly, side-effects
➡️ Treatment costs over $20k a year
It's clear that better solutions are needed. Researchers like Dr Dimitri Scherbakov & Dr Rashid Akbergenov are trying to do just that. There are 4 days left to support their work via Catalyst, the #DeSci funding machine.

If you haven’t checked out @researchhub v2 of reputation, it’s worth your time.
Super easy to claim my publications.
Not as easy to link my X, linked in and university accounts.
Time to build up that rep on the new platform!

The idea of a decentralized platform for astronomy data is progressing. Now the most difficult part of the job is about to start but first I need to find a CTO. #skymapper https://skymapper.io/
Started a streak for posting in DeSci and committing myself to posting a new thought about the space daily.
Thought for today, I am grateful that a DeSci channel on Farcaster exists!!

Some of the best hairloss related research in the world is not happening within the confines of universities, but within the HairDAO discord server. Contributions are made by pseudonymous researchers and open for everyone to see . HairDAO also adds a gamification element and ranks researchers based on the quality of their work
In 2020, Borderlands 3 added a minigame to crowdsource alignment of ribosomal RNA sequences. Paper came out this year. 4m players solved 135m tasks
