Daytona 500 is this weekend! Is there anyone on farcaster that watches this stuff!?
That southern 500 was a great race! Long Green flag runs with tire strategy, a guy puking and pooping his pants, and a great battle between Busch and Briscoe. Congrats to Chase!
What do you all think? In my opinion, in a series where the aero design of the car is completely controlled by NASCAR it's unacceptable for this to happen. This should be easily solved with CFD and design. But maybe they they don't mind for the entertainment value? https://youtu.be/oyNMU2_e3Zs?si=K84LOcBLCqvXLi1G
Remember when they use to run "stickers"? They eventually figured out that they needed to take the stickers off before putting them on because they were actually losing grip on that part of the tire.

Sonoma seems like a super technical track. Just, lots of turns.
No matter how the race ends for him, Haley in a RWR car running an honest 12th is impressive.
My choice would be some version of the Daytona road course for the clash. I think they need to bring speed weeks back to Daytona.

I'm impressed by the prediction results of this model from last year. Would you place a bet based on it's advice? https://www.cbssports.com/nascar/news/2024-daytona-500-odds-predictions-start-time-model-releases-surprising-nascar-picks-leaderboard/
