AI safety checks today are beyond parody. OpenAI, a for-profit business, tests itself on the "safety benchmarks" it creates. Do not worry, they say, we are only at 16.9% of the self-improving AGI level. Also, they write openly that they manipulated the Kaggle procedure, which was supposed to be their human coding competition model (see below).

IMO we need FDA-like external safety criteria and IRS-like audits in OpenAi and other leading businesses to enforce the real safety standards.
