The morning time, I love the tone of this light on the buildings, I really like to take pictures early in the morning.
This is a work that I started a few months ago and I have just finished it, it is a mural on one of the walls of Old Havana. The essence of this painting is to represent the image of the "cuban apostle" Jose Marti. This image is represented in a chaotic city environment, integrated into everyday life. Critical observer and part of a whole, where I integrate Marti's face from a surrealistic vision that allows the interaction of the planes in the same space.
In this work I wanted to transmit the essence of Havana Viaja and its environment, which claims the protective and conservative look of society.

My trash head for this week's contest. I didn't have to go far, just search my studio for old things I don't use anymore, and out came this creation.
It's a bit creepy.

Rainy weather, when it threatens to rain, the sky is transformed and the whole town is wrapped in a mysterious light.
This work still in process of realization is part of a series of paintings on cardboard glued to vinyl records. Where I added tree bark to accentuate the perception of reality.
This work I was made on cardboard, and is a folkloric symbiosis of two deities of the Yoruba pantheon in African cults: Yemaya and Oshun. It is also a cult of the female figure.
It occurs to me that this silhouette can function as a coat of arms of some family in antiquity or some emblem of Nordic tribes (Vikings)
According to the imagination of each one can also be seen in different ways. A random figure.

I enjoy the tranquility and peace that I feel in these places. I feel very comfortable every time I visit the most rural places of my province, besides these beautiful landscapes that are inspiring.
At the birthday party of a painter friend, all gathered on the patio where they were roasting a suckling pig. As it is done in the Cuban countryside, on a grill on the ground, and covered with banana tree leaves.
The mystery of the light of dawn drives away the mysteries of the shadows of the night.
I was born, grew up, and still live in a rural town, where the qualities of its lands are ideal for the cultivation of tobacco mainly, that is why the sight of the tobacco fields, has accompanied me throughout my life. Not only the vision of the green fields, when I was younger I worked in the tobacco fields and I know in detail every step and process related to these crops. The tobacco fields will always be linked to every part of my life.

This painting has a mystical_symbolic character, and I made it some time ago, and I think it fits this week's prompt.
It represents the shamanic spirit. From the mouth of the character comes out a seed (corn kernel) that represents the word, which is the one that creates our reality. When I speak I put the seed in the world of energies and I create consciously or unconsciously the reality that I invoke.
A phrase that I always keep in mind and that has to do with this image is:
' To the one who says he knows, what he knows: look at his life.'

This is one of the many works of the series “El mapa no es el territorio” (The map is not the territory) made with pen and pencil on blog sheets of school geographic maps.
The intention is to create secondary effects integrated to the structure of the drawing, also made with agile and spontaneous lines.
