1/ Update on @todaydotfun! Lessons from Wednesday’s launch and how we're iterating on the token + curation mechanism.
It was a blast to put the experiment out in the wild and get some buzz around a token-powered social account that rewards creators.
Some quick stats:
- over 500 people claimed the airdrop
- ~10k visitors to the site throughout day 1
- 8 rounds elected winners and distributed token rewards to ~100 people
What went well:
- the app and contracts worked as advertised! (pending some minor bugs)
- dozens of submissions per round and hundreds of thousands of tokens voting for content
- creators, curators, and voters earned fresh tokens each round
What needs work:
- slop! — as the rounds progressed, the majority of submissions turned into slop that shilled tokens, self-promoted low quality posts, or shared low effort AI art

Excited to see folks playing with @todaydotfun! I'll be sharing some thoughts and casting throughout the day about observations and improvements we're making.

Good morning! @kiosk app (very nice @literature) is telling me I'm suddenly at 485 mints on @rodeodotclub for Moaiverse. Definitely didn't expect it when I got started a couple of weeks back. As a user, I do not want to mint in a UI you skinned over the mint contract.
Your UI cannot scalably cover all the other necessary information to help me make an informed purchase decision, but the UI where the mint was created can. Podcasts on Pods, music on Sound, articles on Paragraph, etc.

i've been testing @kiosk for the past few months now so here's a quick review!
it's a great farcaster client, especially for creators! there's so much thought put into displaying context around works ^-^
u can drill down into a piece and see casts made by collectors, related casts from the creator, and even comments left on zora
also, videos are displayed as videos and not just the preview thumbnail! (◕‿◕)♡
it has a nice chrono feed and an explore section that surfaces art that your friends are minting. the notis tab also displays any rewards you've collected from your own works or from referrals (if someone mints from a link u post in kiosk, u get a referral reward)
anyways, those are the main things i really enjoy about it. there's lots of other stuff too! like u can mint without even leaving the app. i guess access is being expanded for zora and rodeo creators today if you're interested – see next cast ↓
