Whether you like musicals or not… our feeling is that ‘Isabel’ should feel like a Pixar movie. Whether you’re 12 or 40, you’ll still be in tears walking out of that theater 🍁
Eager to carve his own path and make his family proud, Isaac struggles to find his confidence which sometimes leaves him isolated. A chance encounter with unfamiliar friends, gives him the opportunity to discover a sense of courage he never knew he had 🍃

Lucky in spite of himself, Doug’s adventurous spirit and consistent optimism lead him to discover the mysteries of life through his own peculiar lens. He will stay true to himself throughout and slowly realize that THAT… is his greatest strength 🍃

It is very important that the songs in this musical don’t just come out of nowhere. The songs need to bring clear value to the moment at hand and feel like an extension of the character’s emotions and more importantly… the story’s progression.📕
A sensitive soul, sheltered from the world, Isabel was born into royalty and finds her strength through books and the stories she consumes. Her imagination knows no limits, and her heart knows no bounds. If you are her friend… she will fight for you until the end ✨

“You don’t write a musical, you re-write it.” That’s what Jeff and I are constantly figuring out. We go to sleep happy and wake up unhappy, then spend 5 hours on the phone fixing what went wrong… yes… this is our idea of “fun” 😏
After 5 months of relentless world building, “ISABEL” is a story about the significance of moving forward and the enduring power of love and friendship. @maxpretends and @alonearchitect are extremely passionate & excited to bring this musical to life.
