Updating the project obsidian is my favorite friday evening activity
Cat gave birth outside our ancestral home in India - she is now a bit of a local celeb.
Top Gear and The Grand Tour were the only British media I consumed as an adult. With the end of the grand tour, it feels like the end of an era.

During my childhood (Singapore, Western Africa, India) - I consumed a lot of British media. Reports from friends and family suggest that it is all American tv, music and movies now. The world is now America lite.
Incredible final episode of the grand tour. What an incredible body of work from those 3.
Youtube recommendation that I've been listening to all day

If you were super paranoid - what does your everyday carry hardware look like?

- ios / android ?
Coding in Zed today @pushix . Like it a lot; lots of little things like that git-blame indicator executed very tastefully
Any cryptographers here feel comfortable using LLMs?

For cryptographic code - i.e. statements, circuits, protocols I do not use assistants.

Happy to use it for other general CRUD stuff. Opinions?
Interesting numbers - but this is still in the rookie territory IMO (and that isn't including the memory benchmarks which we don't know for stwo).

Product that doesn't exist but should:

- GShock rangeman 9400 ruggedness + battery life
- Ability to store alphanumeric strings (passphrase + seed phrases)
- No network connectivity whatsoever (i.e. no bluetooth, wifi - gshock is making a big mistake with its latest lineup).
Plonky2 Appreciation Post.

Seriously high quality library and really helpful devs on discord - really enjoyable experience.

If you are exploring porting a zkvm project to circuits, consider this a full throated endorsement.

Any lapham's quarterly readers here? Love every edition they've put out - brilliant stuff.

Friends who have experience with Ed25519.

There are 2 popular crates - one from dalek [1] and one from the zcash folks [2]. What is the recommended best practice? I'm assuming the zcash variant is the one to go with.

Looking for a reliable implementation of EDDSA or ECDSA verification in plonky2 - does anyone have any experience with one of the publicly available circuits?

Seems like most repos don't play nicely with the latest plonky2 versions

Bust of Ben Franklin - keep this on my work desk
Best urushi lacquer dial for under 1k
Jokes aside - with the current pace of LLM advances, I would say that most future programmer productivity wouldn’t come from designing new languages
