Glad I planned my flight back yesterday!

U.S. people who have yet to fly out of New York and who haven’t renewed your license recently – hope you brought your passport with you 😅

Wonder how big of a mess the REAL ID will be tomorrow at airports

interesting little development, though it's not universal right-to-repair that's needed in heavy industry and consumer robotics.

wonder what happens with USACE maintenance of domestic infra...
i feel organic in straw cowboy hat, but kinda like a poser in felt cowboy hats
The White House Correspondents’ Dinner is supposed to be D.C.’s prom night, but this year it’s more like prom and anti-prom both booked the same ballroom. One’s handing out awards, the other’s handing out shade.
definitely high-variance, but this could be the catalyst for the next Manhattan Project (for good or ill).

I hope they go beyond youth education and push postsecondary fablab. small commercial shops may not have capacity for blue sky manufacturing, and Radioshack was invaluable in retrospect.
we should coin endangered species that can be the redeeming product in their own right.

I disagree with everything about this:
1. ultra cheap exports are public goods, just not as much for us
2. the american age is not over (tho trump is certainly trying to end it)
3. if china becomes global hegemon, it will in no way be "fairly lame and uneventful"

grassroots movements like these aren't limited to one country.

the people of Myanmar just suffered an earthquake, likewise it falls to them to recover independent of unreliable government.

I'm still optimistic that work in our ecosystem can meet the reality head-on. (h/t @tim-clancy for miladys4myanmar.org)

I didn’t think it would be 10 trees in the middle of an intersection ?

Went to Costco last week to pay my annual tribute to TurboTax. Used to share the license with my dad until they locked it down to one per Intuit account.

Kind of sad that taxes are so complicated that we even need to buy expensive proprietary software to tell us how to do it correctly.
