🎨 “A Painting Made with... the Human Stomach?!”
Not a joke.

In 1961, Italian artist Piero Manzoni created a work titled:
"Merda d’artista"
aka "Artist’s Shit."

💩 Yes, Manzoni literally canned his own feces—
90 cans, each labeled and sealed.
And the wild part?
He priced them based on their weight in gold.

Today, some of these cans sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

🧠 But why would he do this?
His message?
A bold critique of the art market.
A big middle finger to how we assign value.

And a haunting question:
“If I say it’s art, and you buy it—
Then what really separates art from 💩?”

It’s one of the most extreme examples of conceptual art,
and it still gets people talking.

"Why Did Picasso Say Kids Are the Best Artists?"

Picasso, one of the greatest innovators in art history, once said:
"Every child is born an artist, the problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up."
So what’s behind this statement? Let’s dive in and see why it’s one of the most powerful ideas in art!

What Was the First Painting Ever Censored for "Religious Offense"?
Censorship in art isn't a modern invention.
From the moment artists began asking bold questions, someone out there was already saying:
"This one goes too far!"

One of the earliest and most iconic examples comes from the 15th century, painted by the Italian artist Masaccio.

In the church of Santa Maria Novella in Florence, he created a fresco called:
"The Expulsion of Adam and Eve from Paradise"

✨ Why does everyone look so serious in old paintings?

Ever noticed how people in classical paintings always look like they’re mad at someone?

No smiles, no emotion just intense stares.

The reasons are pretty simple:

No cameras! Portraits were expensive and time consuming.

One wrong move= messed up face. People had to sit still for hours.

Serious = classy. Smiling in portraits was considered... kinda inappropriate.

🎨 Artists were going for grandeur, not giggles.
