Btw. recently completed a collaboration with a fellow designer and those were the fabrics I made in Substance Designer: https://odysee.com/@stellaachenbach:2/SHOWREEL_DigitalFabrics_SeaBreeze:d?r=DeCR7doLthgbtxYPWmSpd5j88CLmwtXK

Hope you like them as much as I do and of course renderings done all in /blender3d 💕 💕 💕
I was testing the new real-time preview for the Compositor feature in Blender 4.2 and accidentally created this effect that looks like videos from the first versions of Stable Diffusion and Disco Diffusion. Can I call this Fake Diffusion? Fake AI art? The next step is to separate the RGB channels and fill them with images and videos to have a more figurative feel(?)
Sharing another video I found, just in case somebody here needs it.

I have turned into a huge fan of this water addon for /blender3d: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TwN1BnCBZ4&t=333s

It's super versatile. You can create ocean dynamics to swimming pool dynamics, and it looks awesome in real time with Eevee and physically based rendering in Cycles! Just loving it. Have you guys tried it yet or found something that's even better 👀 ?
I worked this week through some stacked-up work, but finally, it is time for some inspirational work for /thecreators merch inspired by /onchainsummer 💙 with my favorite tool: /blender3d 🧡

I am super curious to understand what are the modifiers in /blender3d that people are curious about. According to ChatGPT the ones listed get the most questions.

He has some great points about making /blender3d scenes more realistic. Some of those have helped me in the past incl. investing in a special lighting pack:

GM, and happy weekend, fellow Blendcasters. 🌤️ ☕

Sharing this old WIP of a T. rex that I started a few years back. It's modeled and not sculpted, as it was a response to a young 3D artist in Facebook.

He had a hard time believing that modeling was the way we made organic models in the 90s before the invention of 3D/digital sculpting. The kid conceded defeat the moment he saw the creature take shape, and I soon lost interest in the endeavour.

This model is based on T. rex specimen RSM P2523.8, nicknamed "Scotty" by its discoverers. "Scotty" is the largest T. rex specimen ever discovered in the world, and one of the oldest and most complete fossils of its kind.

This is a WIP I intend to resume when I get more current info/references about this particular specimen. The skeletal drawings are from Dr. Scott Hartman, a well-known paleontologist and paleoartist.

And, yes, I am a serious paleontology nerd. 🤓 🦖 🦕
GM ☀️ /blender3d enthusiasts,
Just found this yummy 🍪 tutorial and thought I’d share it:

We had a long conversation yesterday in /thealanaproject working group for ALANA's World because we want to work on a beginner-friendly, cohesive, and co-working tutorial series that helps more people to become "fluent" in /blender3d.

Thank you, @lepidope, for coming up with this idea, ShroomyBoom, @smugdangercat, @mechasqueak, and eventually @undefined for providing feedback.

At the same time, and without any bias, I am still interested to hear what would be exciting projects for our blender folks out here to work on. Trying to essentially finetune the balance between just challenging enough yet not too overwhelming 👀
When you realize that you didn't have GPU rendering toggled on... ⏩⏩⏩
Who is going to join me at Blender Con this year in Amsterdam?
/blender3d crowd on Farcaster:

When it comes to Blender quick tips and if you think back what was a video or tutorial you really enjoyed and learned from?
Thanks to @lepidope we will work on a little series in /thealanaproject and I am curious about what would be the most helpful 👀
Flip Fluids is a staple diet for most Blender users who run simulations but I was completely unaware about its best feature:

There is a glitter ✨ preset made with geo-nodes! Like WTF 😅?!

A friend of mine recently developed an addon called NIS Lighting Pack. It imitates real studio lights within Blender and is honestly a miracle.
