:)

I could have bought Bitcoin or stocks when Ethereum launched in 2015, but by investing in this magic programmable money, I gained exposure to technology that revolutionizes how value moves through the world. Life becomes a bit more colorful.

It opens an exponential number of doors that traditional money keeps closed..
Our winter building strategy:

1. Make everything optional. Every framework, every language, every protocol, every vendor. YAGNI.

2. Remove arguments. Can’t be rugged, can’t be limited, etc.

3. Get real. No hype.

4. Don’t get stuck.

5. Dig DEEP.

6. Following rules kills creativity and slows high performers.
These slip-ons are actually super comfortable. I got influenced somewhere on social media and figured I’d test drive them since I needed new house shoes.

8.3/10, solid buy 👍

I've noticed a few comments about ETHDenver being dead this year. I think what's really happening is we're seeing a growing inequality between the big teams and the floor projects.

There are many respectable, product-led protocols with conference budget now, e.g. EigenLayer, Uniswap, Coinbase/Base, and so on. At the same time, we're seeing fewer talented outfits racing to find product-market fit. Hacking has become a side event comparatively to my last attendance at ETHGlobal NYC.

Outside of ETHDenver, the meta has shifted from "first to market" to "best at market." Teams can't just be scrappy — they need to be focused with time here if they want to get noticed and attention moves toward organized side events.

It's not better or worse, just different. The ecosystem is growing up, and the conference circuit is changing with it.
Delta lounge before Denver just feels right.

The best work you can do is the work your peers wish they could themselves.
Feels like folks are underestimating how quiet the world has gotten recently.

Very spooky.
Told my family at dinner that microplastics live rent free in your brains. Came back an hour later and all the chopping boards are gone.

This is how we win lmao.

Credible neutrality on every issue sacrifices standing for your values and principles. It trends performative. And at worst out of touch. You will go from finding truth and progress to maintaining an image of perfect impartiality.

The antidote is having clear positions based on evidence/reasoning and pivot often.
Good products combine. Great engineering removes.
You think I could get him to refund me the BTC I sent for the ounce of weed I never got delivered to my dorm in 2013?

I still have the order confirmation lol.

Values are what you demonstrate. People shouldn't have to be imbued with your mystique to know who you are or what you work on.

Be transparent. Seek diversity. There is always truth in complaint. Support local farmers and artists directly through your means and appreciate their work often.
Pretty crazy I survived the TikTok era. Never installed it, never signed up. Never used it even to learn a new viral dance.

Forgot to celebrate my one year anniversary as a founder!

I quit my stable, traditional tech job 2024-01-01 to go full time into web3. 30 days later frames was the cookie frame hack.

Then quickly joining Seed Club and in the fall demoing Uno to friends and family.

It’s been fun sharing this time with y’all!
My For You page on Instagram is absolutely cooked. It’s that “AI rapping dog” meme nonstop. Holy smokes.
No one is spending their memecoins/tokens and it shows. Speculation kills economic progress in this space. The opportunity cost of minting an NFT or paying for an experience becomes too much.

I want folks making a living off their work. Artists able to travel, musicians putting on shows, and farmers selling produce.
Really excited to visit Disneyland this winter while Erica and I work in Los Angeles.
