I get a free Barry’s Bootcamp workout for my birthday. 🥹 I never knew they offered them.
I had to ask a candidate to provide social proof and conduct a background check before offer for a position. Why? AI Deep fakes.
- online presence created within the last month with date tags but you’ve been working for a decade and went to an American university?
- no open source projects or contributions
- works at marquee brand companies with >100 network connections/follows after a decade - if you work at Apple or Google, everyone you’ve ever worked with and their mother will try to connect with you
- photoshopped photo that looks like the other fake I caught last month
- American names like “Doug Anderson” but Zoom interview, the accent doesn’t sound like white cis-gender male from FL
- take profile photo and cross reference with Google Images to uncover the real owner of photo - university professor?? (Faculty photos are huge targets to create fake identities)

Truly a problem that everyone on my team and industry at large is trying to combat - never had to until this year! 😵‍💫
My spirit animal! My birthday, best weather, and the favourite holiday wrapped in one month. 👻
I randomly tune and practice on the viola between meetings. /classical
Thought of the day: “Race” is a lot more of a social construct than gender is. Race is on a spectrum depending on geographic region and interpretation of history.
JD Vance admitted to a NYT reporter that he wants to prevent women from traveling freely around the United States.

He’s demanding a federal response to keep women from leaving their state to receive healthcare. “Leave it up to the states,” right??

NY and CA may no longer be safe havens for equal human rights with that in mind.

Sad I slept through our 8am call time to make our 9am run club meet up. 🥲 We were going to try out a new run club; the BK Heights club.

After so many martinis and episodes of The Wire, you just gotta sleep it off, right?!
We went to the Gjelina pop up last night in East Village! It was delicious. 🤤 A lil taste of Venice in NYC.

They permanently move to their Bond Street location after this weekend.

Left roast half chicken in harissa and ginger sauce. Right is hamachi in yuzu.

I made thōm khem (carmelized pork braised in a sweet and salty broth). It’s a popular Southeast Asian dish. Every country like Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, etc. has their own rendition. https://hungryinthailand.com/tom-khem-recipe/

I discovered and tried a hummus bowl for the first time. Wow, I’ve been missing out. Hot take, one pita is never enough.
I don't think people understand that anti-intellectualism and the literacy crisis are deeply tied together...

“Leave it up to the state”… A few things illegal in Texas. What’s not fair?

- the devil’s lettuce
If I go to Colorado on a ski trip and smoke a lil lettuce before the slopes. I go home to Texas, will the cops be waiting for me?

- sports betting
If I go to Vegas and bet on an NFL game say Super Bowl. I go home to Texas, will the cops be waiting for me?

- abortion
If I go to California for an abortion because I can’t carry to full term for x reason(s). I go home to Texas, will the cops be waiting for me?

Maybe a federal mandate can make states treat humans equally. 🤷🏽‍♀️
After a week in LA, my sleep schedule is so off.

5% of our brain weight is now from microplastics. 🧠 Microplastics are found in our food, water, and air.

Plastics love lipids. The human brain has the second highest lipid content in the body. They’ll stick there before passing the liver or kidneys to detox out. This accelerates chances of dementia, cancers, and/or diseases.

Movement isn’t just for aesthetics, it’s for health and longevity.

The average American walks 3.5k steps a day. Medical journals have proven that 7k< steps a day slashes 40-60% of our risk for Alzheimer’s disease, type 2 diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease, and obesity. Did you move today?

Heavenly 🤤
Taking an international aircraft to LAX (my first time) further supports my take that if you’re investing the time to travel to the west coast, you should just go to Europe.
Listening to Rapture, Pressure, and Deep at Night b2b on a set has me reminiscing of TomorrowWorld days. Best era.
Another day that I’m not in Europe 😔
Nothing like yelling, “it’s game time!” When @christopher is coding. 🤣
Child marriage is defined as any marriage where at least one of the parties is under the age of 18. It was legal in all 50 states until 2018. Only 10 states have since passed bans to end the practice.

Makes you rethink women’s health, abortion, and divorce, eh?
