I hadn't made one of my collage masks for over a week so I got that itch, you know what I mean, you know what I'm sayin'?
welcome to BARE USA. A massive undertaking to photograph in all 50 States.
BARE USA. A photo project that explores natural beauty in contrast with man-made decay. It was the journey of a lifetime spanning all 50 US states. The work is a direct reflection of my own life, surrounded by chaos and destruction but if you look real close there was just a little bit of beauty and hope. And from that small seed of beauty and hope all things were possible.
Day 214. Poem. I wrote another poem. Tomorrow I'll make a painting about it.

"What if you didn't have to be alone
What if someone loved you so deep
They would dive in with you
Swim to the bottom
And stay there
Stay until you were ready
Ready to come up
Or stay there if you weren't
So that you wouldn't be alone"
Today I am highlighting one of the pieces from my latest drop of the Corrupted Cognition, a collection of handmade collage masks. This is Hingus. Hingus is ready to hang on a floating mount but to honor the purpose of a mask, they are designed so that they can be worn. Hingus also comes with a certificate of authenticity on the inside. What's really special about this latest drop of 10 masks is they are available on the @makersplace marketplace. This means you purchase the digital collectable (an NFT) and claim the physical. So you get both for the price of one. If you like Hingus click the link in my bio to head on over to makesplace and pick one up.
Just a quick reminder that I've dropped 10 new masks available to collect on @makersplace. What you want to do is head on over to the store by clicking the link in my bio, find the mask you want, purchase the NFT and then claim the physical and I'll send it right over to you! They go for about .1 Ethereum or $300 cash. You can use a debit or credit card if you want to. Hit me up if you have any questions about the process.
Day 206. Poem/Short Story. I'm not sure if this is a poem or just a short story but I wanted to keep writing. The last poem I wrote was very uncomfortable. I feel like it's cringe. But I like a good challenge. I feel more exposed. I think that is good for me. I feel like this process requires more in depth critical thinking which can also be very advantageous to my visual art. So with all that being said here we go.

They took me prisoner
When I was 12
I don;t know why
I think they wanted to keep me safe
It seemed ok
They fed me, let me exercise
And there was a nice window looking out
But they were verbally abusive
One day they left the door open
I wandered outside
It seemed like a nice place
But it was bright and noisy
So I went back inside
The guard asked why I was back
"I like my mattress here" I said
I went back to my cell
And laid on my bed
While staring at the ceiling
I realized that the guard looked just like me

I had such a great time speaking with these amazing people!
part of my ongoing "Lost and Found" project.
ITAP of myself on a foggy mountain in Norway.
Good morning. 14 years of sobriety today. I would say acceptance, willingness, and honesty have been instrumental in my journey. Grateful to be alive and grateful for the life of freedom I have today.

I took a photo of a bridge, one with golden gates.
