I'm not sure the margins but there's no way they spend 1/3 of that. Say without any growth, they earn 200M per year.
In five years, they would have at least the investor funds. If their ideas are indeed wrong, they it would churn by then. But if they're right and the current pitch they use to raise is true, they it means they could just implement it without needing more VC funds.
They're not training models, they loading the model cost on the users almost directly (either via subscription or api key)
So again why do they need to raise billions?

Been thinking about this a lot till I found this article. I always wondered how my internet friends tend to be doing “great”. I just realized they probably let go of a few big things and it’s the same for virtually everyone including myself.

Whoever came up with .yaml format held us back infinitely from the next phase of tech evolution. I will not elaborate
There should be a way to send a transaction as a file perhaps a new file extension type ‘.tx’
When the user clicks this file say on their phone, it options to open in any of their installed wallets (if they have multiple wallets installed).
When the click their preferred wallet, it opens the wallet and simulates the transaction and shows what’s going in or out.
Optionally, the sender can add a note in the transaction file that the wallet can also display before the use accepts and calls the transaction.
You know how the v1 frames transactions used to work where it opened in rainbow or coinbase and simulates the transaction. Similar to that but this time just clicking the file should do it.
Use case: you could just send the “register” transaction in a message group and anyone can just download file, download rainbow, click file.
You could tell everyone at an event to scan a QR, it dowloads the tx file, and they can open and run it in their favourite wallet

It seems text based GPT from openai can no longer go forward, only sideways.
The level of thinking (I know it doesn't really think but let's assume what it does is thinking) has been at same height it has been for a long time.
Sideways improvements include better context window, better memory, more specific models (primed to a certain context eg. coding model, research model, etc). However the underlying tech seems to not be improving much (or even at all).
I predict the next breakthrough in the AI space will not be from them.
That side audio and especially video models seems to have a large space for improvements (for everyone not just openai). Looking to see how far we can go with those models.

People should stop adding disclaimers when they complain about farcaster. It's new, wrong things are expected, pivots are inevitable. Just lay your complains as it is. You left all other bubbling socials to be here and for good reason, if someone doubts your "love" for farcaster because there's something you don't like, then that's their problem. They need to grow up.
