28 DAYS | Foundation

What started as a technical challenge, became a mediative practice to process the day's emotions through sound and light. Each audiovisual animation was created everyday over 28 days (4 weeks). The process consisted of digital modeling, animating, rendering, recording/finding foley, making music, compositing and final export. Hopefully some of the mediative qualities came out through the work.

The arcane, the supernatural, the occult. I had my first experiences of these ideas in front of an old CRT, playing games like Doom, Diablo and Baldur's Gate. Sitting late at night, trying to peer through the pixels and understand the pure madness happening on screen has seared into my mind as a formative experience growing up. Having an awakening to an analog world by digital means is ever present in my work, but this feels like the earliest I can remember it happening to me.
