Definitely fun to be back home in Hawaii. I made a stop at Laniakea Beach (aka Turtle Beach) and took a portrait of Wooley Bully, who is over 50 years old.

It’s Alooooooooha Friday… photographers know that those right place, right time shots are only possible because of the number of times we go to the right place… at the wrong time. Third straight morning chasing sunrise here on Oahu.
First flight on Hawaiian’s new 787 plane… JFK to HNL, just a short 10-11 hour flight home. Only downside is… no WiFi?!

Over ten years ago, I took a friend on O'Rourke's Famous Circle Island Tour and we found this cute little weaner Meli playing on a shallow reef on a remote North Shore corner, and she fell in love. How could you not love those big eyes?

I’ve been doing #MonkSealMonday for a while, and will continue to do so every Monday. Despite all our best efforts, much more must still be done. I hope my #MonkSeal post each Monday helps call attention to this beautiful animal and builds awareness of the efforts to preserve them. With roughly 1600 left in the wild, we are at a critical point to rescue this species. #Aloha!

My goal was to take my weekly #MonkSealMonday posts raising awareness about these amazing, endangered Hawaiian monk seals and wonder... could NFTs help save this beautiful species?

It's been hot this week in NYC... feels like we jumped from winter straight to summer. Cooling off with a throwback photo to the Grand Canyon in April 2011.
Happy Earth Day... grateful I've been able to explore this Earth as much as I have at this point in my life.
ITAP of Keolakai (#MonkSealRK80), a monk seal pup born back in 2018... now she's having pups of her own.
Annie and I have booked a trip in a few weeks to Oahu, and it's just in time for Hawaiian monk seal pup season.
While we've already had a few pups born this year, I'm looking forward to documenting our mother and pup pairs.

Got a little of that Easter pink big energy today... Annie and I went for a walk in Central Park, and had to stop to smell the cherry blossoms!
Each spring, as the critters in the open space behind my parents’ house in Arizona emerge from hibernation, my mother anxiously watches for the return of Bob the Blueberry Bandit.
I am happy to report he was seen this week, stealing the blueberries she puts out for the birds.

For Wednesday's Wings... a pair of wedge-tailed shearwaters sitting in the light at sunset. They aren't far from their shallow nests, burrowed just under the surface at Ka'ena Point.
