Seeing ‘Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice’ has been on my to-do list for weeks now, but I made other films my priority because ‘Beetlejuice 2’ has been financially successful and will be in theaters a lot longer than other films (e.g., ‘Megalopolis’). Personally, I didn’t think the original ‘Beetlejuice’ needed a sequel, but if they’re going to make it, I’m glad it was pretty good (I agree with the attached review). I took my whole extended family (from my parents to my first cousins) to see it yesterday, and everyone enjoyed it. My mom found it hilarious, which is always good.

Apple's M4 MacBooks aren't set to be announced until later this fall. The leap in the multi-core department is an astronomical 37%. Even the higher-end M3 Pro trails behind the M4 by almost 8%. For a generational upgrade, these numbers are extremely promising.
When compared to its competitors, the M4 CPU in the 14-inch MacBook Pro appears to be at an undisputable advantage. When compared with Intel's Core Ultra 9 288V 'Lunar Lake', the M4 comes out a whopping 42% ahead in single-core, and 62% ahead in multi-core performance. AMD's Ryzen 9 AI HX 370, despite being more of a competitor for the M4 Pro, falls behind the M4 by a whopping 33% in single-core performance, while being almost neck and neck in multi-core despite its much more generous power envelope.

Paul Mescal takes on the role of Lucius, who idolizes Maximus (played by Russell Crowe in the original) and is the nephew of Joaquin Phoenix's villainous Commodus. Oh, and did we mention? Denzel Washington is also joining the cast as Macrinus.
Scott returns behind the camera more than two decades after helming the first movie, which won the Oscar for best picture and grossed more than $400 million at the worldwide box office. Crowe also won the Oscar for Best Actor, and Scott was nominated for Best Director.

The result is that “Harlequin,” a beautifully sung jazz album with two new songs, is dead, too. Today it dropped to number 97 on iTunes after one week. Sales for its second week were nil, leaving the total at under 30,000 copies.
Gaga must be furious, and rightly so. She worked hard on “Harlequin,” which contains some of her best work ever.
But with the movie in shambles, Universal Music hasn’t lifted a finger to promote the collection. It’s dead on the vine.
