finishing up a few core features, but the main new difference is the change to bit more of a reddit-esque ui(to me it makes the content shine a bit more and will help out with some of the channels features i'm introducing)

so far all the benefits still outweigh the kinks/features to be built out, the fact that most changes just seamlessly work across platforms is pretty awesome

i have staging envts set up for web and ios so far, just doing some design polish to get to a mvp!

GitHub quietly rolled out their own version of “priority mode” for notifications, they must’ve been watching the /warpcast product updates!

still a super basic setup/early into this but was able to get cross-platform auth, a home feed & several hono-backed api routes up in one night of tinkering

this has gotta be something that AI + a degree of personal connections/referrals in a consumer app can at least put some meaningful dent into

I will say seeing the number go up did make me want to add more content to /dylan! (still posting here whether I start a new streak or not)

ga and happy sunday, been stuck on an app idea for /cortex for the past few weeks and wanted to quickly share what I’ve been thinking about/the idea mazes I’ve been going down, lmk if you have any thoughts as I’d def appreciate the input!

the tldr is that the two main areas I’m thinking about are
- the data around your Farcaster profile that’s not always on your Warpcast/Supercast/Recaster profile(your events, attestations, mints, etc)
- potential ways to customize your experience with this data(was thinking about custom views or mini apps but am wondering if that might make more sense for channel homepages)

Dylan interviews are underrated

stated preference: I want all these fun modifications and customizations in an app
revealed preference: my brain wants the dopamine of a fresh feed so bad that I literally just closed and re-opened /warpcast without thinking twice about it 😂😂

moral of the story: keep it simple, stupid

don’t really have much of a strategy for /dylan (re: the new channels change) other than to treat it kinda like IG close friends and to FAFO

- ran & lifted
- listened to the new jason yuan podcast feature on dot(new.computer) and generative interfaces
- made a shake
- catching up on casts and might draft a new blog post

not a bad start to my saturday!

have a few hours to think about what I want to do for my main channels going into the new update later, here’s what I’m thinking so far:
- /dylan, maybe just keep this broadcast only from me with followers? also happy to add close friends who wanna cast(that could be a cool use actually)
- /cortex - for now maybe a super cheap hypersub or something? would be cool to use this as a gated community to share updates, a lot has been happening
- /farhack - could see some sort of membership here too(or add folks who have participated in farhacks), at first will probably just add the original members

needing to get sleep but wanting to say online/thinking through ideas is a tough balancing act, but honestly there could be worse things to have to balance!

been a bit busy this week but I’ve enjoyed getting some quality, focused work done
