building products onchain and yapping on farcaster

I’ve got two ideas for fun post farcon mini apps/experiences if I can get to them this week while staying sane and awake at the same time 🫠
looking back at this old prototype i should've just waited for the sidebar mini apps that /warpcast has on web now 😅

I already have a banger mini app idea for something that I think will be really fun for when all of the /farcon-nyc festivities wrap — but I really need to stop myself from working on it soon because there’s too much to get done right now 😂

wouldn’t be the start to a big week without a solid bec!

an underrated part of farcon is it’s given me something to look forward to and work harder towards for 6-7 months now

farcon aside, life feels even better to me when there are events and milestones to look forward to :)

good thread from a designer I respect regarding the quality of personal/ephemeral software we use, there are some interesting points re: if the average person always wants disposable software, and that this trend doesn’t need to mean the entire wheel is always being reinvented in consumer products

i'm ending the day off with a new perspective on content coins and an idea for a banger mini app

that casterscan live feed change made my edge requests & data transfer numbers go up like at least 5x on /vercel, gotta find some time one night this week to optimize the query a *little* bit more 🤦‍♂️

gm, its monday

its also only two and a half weeks until /farcon-nyc

time to lock in!!!

another weekend side project update — videos in the /tap mini app are now full screen for a slightly nicer viewing experience
/dylan
ended up spending a lot more time on this today than i thought i would even though i already work on this kinda stuff and have other things to get done lol

but it's been fun re-building a *super* minimal client that others can fork or play around with to get started building on farcaster

another fun saturday hack because why not -- vibe-coded a simple home feed ui with /expo and /neynar, if i get more time it'd be nice to add more to my litecast repo(where i put the change for now) so it can serve as a jumping off point for devs toying around

casterscan mini app updates:
- fixed the homepage so the stream doesn’t die, should always stay a firehose of recent casts
- uses openUrl and viewProfile to handle as many links as possible
- shows the name and FID of the app the cast was published from
- some smaller stuff that should make the UI and performance better

taking a moment to make a few small updates to casterscan.com, including this detail inspired by the new warpcast feature

damn looking at these /miniapps analytics on my warpcast developer page rn is motivating me to make some updates and get my DAUs up 😅

the thing from a UX standpoint that blockchains and LLMs have in common is how important it is for them to work together and be interoperable

we want blockchains to be so interoperable that doing things “cross chain” feels like nothing/is abstracted away from you, and we want developers to be able to build apps that swap LLMs in and out like it’s nothing

not to say there aren’t caveats or times where you want a specific choice, but feels like there’s overall alignment re: the overall architecture
