One of the biggest effects o1 will have is the normalization of longer inference times.
When AI is given the time to think longer about problems and use tools, they become way more powerful.
Users who become familiar with this in chatgpt will be more comfortable with it in other products as well.

it's interesting to see interactive brokers offering an incentive coupon for locked capital on bets.
one of the issues with prediction markets today is that longer time horizon markets don't offer an incentive for effectively staking into it. will be curious to see how this factors into trader decision making.

Idea: constantly live prediction markets for different magnitude earthquakes in specific regions. The current status quo is to download an app, which seems a lot less effective than incentivizing seismologists to share their forecasts.

prediction markets would benefit from swappable oracles.
let the market decide which resolution options (Uma vs. Tellor, etc) work for which markets.
if an oracle protocol's truth-finding process isn't fair, the ability to switch ensures long-term liquidity and volume doesn't migrate. more experimentation needed here!
