Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas puts his money where his mouth is with 70% of his portfolio in Bitcoin-related assets.
When one of wealthiest investors goes this big on $BTC, it's a clear signal about where smart money sees the future of wealth.

Whoa!
In 2024 alone, companies bought more $Bitcoin than ALL previous years combined! 😮
Now 70+ corporations are HODLing $52B worth (that's 3% of all BTC). Suits are finally catching on! 🚀

If you don’t hold your own keys, you don’t own bitcoin. Self-custody isn’t just an option—it’s the only way to truly own your wealth. Passport is here to make self-custody more accessible, without compromise. Let’s build a future where everyone controls their own money.

I liked it better when celebrities and politicians had no clue what Bitcoin is.

Agree!
They still have no clue, but think they do.

the "bitcoin uses a lot of energy" critique is so misinformed
traditional money is backed by energy too, you just don't see it
a dollar is worth a dollar because if someone tries to counterfeit a dollar they get thrown in a prison by guys with guns
that's a gigantic energy overhead, what is the cost of having to monitor and stop all counterfeiting of all fiat money everywhere in the world at all times?
mining covers that overhead in Bitcoin
you replace guys with guns with clever cryptography + provable power expenditure to have a system of reliable money
seems like a fair trade off, no?

The problem I have tearing crypto apart is that I don’t really understand it technically at all detailed level. My objections are all philosophical. It uses up a ton of energy so people can speculate and do arbitrage. How is that worth it? I’ve used it to pay journalists in Afghanistan and appreciate that but I’d rather all this energy be spent ending sanctions. What am I missing?
A solo miner successfully mined a Bitcoin block using equipment worth up to $300. https://x.com/ckpooldev/status/1899210241721663637
An unknown lucky miner mined block #887212 using a home setup from Bitaxe (priced between $150 and $300) with a hash rate of 480 GH/s. For comparison, this is only 1/27th of the hash rate of an old Antminer S9 from Bitmain.
The miner earned 3.17 BTC (about $246,501, including fees). According to CKPool administrator Con Kolivas, the chance of mining a block with such power is less than 1 in a million.

Less than 4% of the world's population owns Bitcoin.
According to a River study, North America leads in cryptocurrency adoption rates. The highest concentration is observed in the United States, where 14% of people own Bitcoin. The least developed market is Africa, with a share of 1.6%.
Researchers emphasize that Bitcoin has tapped into only 3% of its potential market, based on an analysis of the maximum reachable audience. The primary barriers to widespread cryptocurrency adoption remain insufficient financial and technical literacy.

The United States will be the global superpower of #Bitcoin.
Additionally, David Sacks stated that the U.S. government's digital assets are being audited to determine exactly how much digital wealth the country possesses. 👀

this take is so lame
we're ok with this because it was inevitable
part of the game theory was everyone was going to want Bitcoin eventually, even nation states
we're supposed to be mad that the vision is playing out?

The U.S. will create a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve! https://x.com/davidsacks47/status/1897802280738734236
BREAKING: Odds the US government creates the strategic $BTC reserve in 2025 just hit an all time high.
Now a 65% chance it happens this year.

Senate Bill 21 (SB 21) Passed the Texas Senate: On March 6, 2025, the Texas Senate passed SB 21, also known as the "Texas Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and Investment Act”.
Gold:
- can't create in factory
- can't increase supply in proportion to demand.
Bitcoin:
- can't create another Bitcoin network (practically)
-cannot increase supply at all.
A strategic reserve asset of any nation can only afford to have Bitcoin and Gold. That's it!

21 million: number of total Bitcoin
Not all the millionaires are going to be fullcoiners.
