Lawrence Wong flying Lao Airlines & Scoot might be a PR stunt, but it's the kind of PR stunt I'd want SG elected officials to engage in, vs the [redacted] that goes on in so many other places

I always had a bias about the safety of low-cost airlines, but after seeing Singapore’s Prime Minister Lawrence Wong travel with 【Scoot Airline】recently, I feel reassured.

2049 sum up:

2. Best conversations happened at /farconasia 、/farhack, & catch ups w/ old frens and colleagues;

3. Biggest take away: we all in our own bubble, ability to see, think, and build beyond our bubble is essential. End of day, chain does not matter, product matters, h/t @dwr.eth @eriknelson.eth

4. Ppl are more real offline, h/t @timdaub.eth . Covid gets everyone used to remote working, but nothing beats offline conversation w/ ppl you trust;

5. following 4., there is a gap b/w/ what ppl say online/in public, and what ppl say in private, offline. TLDR: what u see online/social media is just a reflection of truth.

6. Strategy: schedule as many 1 on 1s as possible beforehand, prioritize 1 on 1s and smaller meet ups ( <50 ppl), worked well for me.
