Discussions about the Apple Vision Pro

gaming(should’ve done this earlier), the ultra wide screen sharing, and plane usage have def been some of my top vision pro use cases so far
Environments on the Vision Pro still feel like their straight from the future

with a turn of the digital crown i'm out of my living room and transported to a serene beach — but the sun has set, totally the wrong vibe for focus

with a quick hand flip a menu appears, and with a tap of a button the sun rose before my eyes

there's seriously nothing like it
We’ve gone all out this year. Open https://bfcm.shopify.com/ on your Vision Pro or Quest for the full Shopify BFCM experience.
It looks like the Waterfield case is pretty much the smallest any case can be for the vision pro unless one wants to remove the audio stems and put them back on everytime. The new Belkin case is just a third smaller than the official Apple travel case and Waterfield is about half in volume.

has anyone tried protecting only the headset in something like a ski goggles case when travelling?
Back in the saddle and feeling a little bit like wide/ultrawide virtual display might be enough to get this thing back on my face every day. Anyone else tried it?
The VR experience you create is your and your players’ content studio.

The game is the engine that drives all the content.

Every person who plays your experience has a camera attached to their faces.

It’s your job to get them to hit record, edit and post it.

That’s the game.
I haven’t used my AVP much since April. I blame Farcaster, but it was also kinda lacking in stuff to do back then.

What’s new? Anything cool to check out? I’ll definitely be watching ‘Submerged’ but wondering if there’s anything else cool that’s dropped in the last 6 months?
Ok I watched Submerged with an Apple friend last night. We Shareplayed it. No spoilers below but if you want to watch without biases don't read.

tl;dr there's still a lot more experimenting to be done but I want more of this type of media.

Thoughts:
- Holy shit the detail that the AVP display is capable of really shines here.
- Trad film folks will need to unlearn some techniques that don't work well in VR. A few of the angles made me feel dizzy and I'm a 10 year VR veteran 🥴
- I'm still processing how I feel about some of the changes in scale. Kind of weird to feel like you have a giant human head in front of you. Works on a 2D cinema screen but felt odd in VR.
- The scenes with water were epic. Felt a level of anxiety I don't usually feel with normal movies.
- The lighting really carried some scenes and the effects of lighting felt more profound in VR.
- Far superior than 360 content. Easier to story tell and the quality is unreal.
- Highly recommend the shareplay experience. Social watching rules.
New Meta glasses are surprisingly great

The photos it takes are solid, and the audio being beamed into your temples feels like magic

only downside is I look like a giant nerd
orion is the future

all other companies but meta can just quit
nothing to see here, just using my phone on a mountain
I want to get Apple Vision Pro, just need to get the price and weight a bit lower 😳
any compact case recommendations? the apple case is bulky and takes up a lot of space and am looking for something that takes up less volume
Secondary AVP floor on NYC Facebook marketplace is $2K.
Is there a way to stream Switch to AVP?
AVP is travel essential certified by @ted

100% agree. I find myself making space for AVP when traveling now.
I haven't used my AVP in probably 3 months due to a lack of content. Is there anything new from the last 3 months worth trying?
spending a late night working from a coffee shop for the first time in a few years and… i've become spoiled by spending evenings writing in the Vision Pro

the people around me are so distracting lol
Kinda losing it at how fun playing catch in VR is when you add some aim assist.
