What is shabu-shabu?
Shabu-shabu is a Japanese dish where very thinly sliced beef is cooked in a traditional hot-pot full of boiling broth.The meat is cooked by gently dipping and waving it around in the broth with chopsticks. The beef is so thin you can almost see through it, so it cooks quickly.

Himeji Castle was built in 1609.
It's one of the twelve existing towers in Japan and has been preserved since it was bulit.
Becase the color of the walls are white, it's called "egret castle"
It was chosen to be one of the first world heritage sites in Japan in 1993.
It has never gone through a war since it was built.

Sukiyaki is a Japanese dish made of beef, vegetables, tofu, and noodles simmered in a sweet sauce called, warishita.
Please do not overcook the beef, that way, you can have softer meat.
When eating sukiyaki, a scrambled raw egg is used as the dipping sauce.

The main gate of the temple is called Kaminari Mon or Thunder Gate.
It has a large red paper lantern and two statues in it.
One statue is Hujin or the God of Wind and the other is Raijin or the God of Thunder.

First time, this was burnt down by a war called "Onin war". Second time, this was burnt down by arson. The temple you see is the one rebuilt after the arson.
