I think it’s kind of funny that the 10% threshold prop didn’t pass…. Why is it funny? Because for the last year many have been claiming we’re ’under attack from the big bad arbers’ & that ‘arbers have been accumulating’ …. Well guess what, if there were any arbers don’t you think they would have voted FOR the proposal to lower threshold so they could get out early 😂 As I said, we’re scared of a boogie monster under our bed which doesn’t exist. 🤦🏼♀️

3 Nounders on one call, what an honor 🫡 Our max peak was 57 on the Nouncil call. 💛
I think it’s best to wait until the completion of the first proposal to assess….meaning when the budget is completely exhausted what are we delivered, how does this compare to what was proposed…. & determine the margin of ‘error’ to see if it’s worth continuing…. Hypothetical example if we paid X and only receive 1/10th of the deliverables, I’m not sure I would have faith in continuing to fund something that was miscalculated with such drastic variance…. But if we are delivered 9/10th, it would be a reasonable buffer of error to continue to fund.
I'm currently half way through an audit on proposals 👀 .....so far, what do you think the most funded country has been? 🌍 .... meaning the proposer, if they had to KYC, would claim this country as their residency 👩💻

Duna 🇺🇸 vs Swiss Non-profit 🇨🇭which is the entity structure both the Ethereum Foundation & the Solana Foundation choose to utilize.
Pros & cons of each…. I’ll be doing a deep dive into this 👩🏼💻 But considering we have an ETH ETF & discussion of a Solana ETF, it appears these Foundations are doing just fine interacting with the US regulations from a distance, we could do the same.

I think if the Foundation wants to transition to a Duna it needs to fork and start fresh…. If not, your putting current and previous holders potentially at risk seeing as how no KYCs were ever done & we have indeed funded numerous people from US sanctioned countries…. You can’t just walk that back.
Also, has the Foundation paid taxes at all on the last 3 years on the DAOs behalf? If so, we’re are the returns? Can they be made available through token gate access for holders? …. If no taxes have been filed, are we expecting a massive tax bill once the structure gets changed. Is it safe to say ~1/4 of the treasury will go to Uncle Sam?
If a structure change is needed why not incorporate in Dubai or a place that has well established crypto regulations… the US is the biggest gamble right now given the current political landscape. Gary JUST sent Opensea a wells notice, and we really think it’s the best move to transfer the entity within the US 50 states? 😳

I believe the social layer of governance is the most harmful layer. I’m a huge advocate for private voting, also anonymous feedback…. Why? Because ANYTIME you leave feedback positive or negative you get DMs…. It’s making me just want to vote & not say anything, but I feel I owe it to the proposers to provide feedback, but also do not want to deal with the backlash of providing feedback. Dammed if you do, dammed if you don’t….. but Anon activities eliminate these issues, we should also reset the culture to not take voting against a proposal so personally. An against vote does not equal an I Hate You, it’s a rework and repurpose if it doesn’t pass. 🫡
