I didn't attend FarCon 2024, but I did anchor myself on the FarCon 2024 Channel Leaderboard (back when those were a thing!).. as a result of casting data & network graph visualizations about the ticket holders
I had been active here for less than two months at the time, and only had a few hundred followers
I can recall scrolling the FarCon 2024 Channel Leaderboard.. realizing I was the only account appearing there that was not actually at the event
It was the best casting I had done up until that point.. my casts were getting great engagement and I was gaining high-quality followers
Weekend after FarCon, I casted (quite a bit) about how the protocol was wildly inflating their DAU + overall metrics
Later that week, visibility of my casts was reduced via losing the Power Badge I had previously held
Effectively, I was shadowbanned
It felt targeted.. nothing in the data supported removing my Power Badge
