1. yes, it really is. and it's not even about money, it's just about people's interest in certain content. you can do really cool things (make wholesome pieces of art if you're an artist; make cool stylish things, very racy things if you're a designer; make and share with others your images and looks if you're a stylist and it goes on and on, I think you get the point lol), but your reaches will be super small, because of that the platform itself where you share your art with people won't promote you either. and when you see that a person does (roughly) shitposting and has huge numbers, audience interest and all that - you just want to start doing the same things, just mindlessly follow that person and do something weird. it's a shame that 90% of people are only willing to consume and digest dumb, second-rate content.
