Not enough people are experimenting with 6551 as a mechanism for onchain art
Great ideas from Salvatore Sanfilippo's website.

The point about modern programming hits home and is why AI is going to take all of the programming jobs. Still, there's beauty in programming, go read the opening chapter to SICP if you don't believe me. I'm sure I'll still be programming after AI takes me job, even just for the hell of it
Super excited for flows to become a bigger part of nouns. Any ideas for what funding buckets should exist?
has anyone written anything (or planning on writing something) for the kiwi nouns writing contest? I'd love to read some pieces. Is there an aggregated list of submissions anywhere?
oldest trick in the nouns proposal book is to make an egregiously large ask you know will be turned down so you can return with a smaller ask that then seems "fair"

seen this many times

It's so easy to get nerdsniped by end user programming. Let the user build their own tools! The critic in me thinks most people are satisfied with things being designed _for_ them, even if they are 10% worse than a custom baked solution.

excited either way. they're focused on AI, but I think there's a distinctly crypto flavor to end user programming that has to do with data availability, portability, composability etc
Hearing thoughts that duna is good bc large players will be comfortable with regulatory clarity + “stream based funding” so they can exit if needed.

Would these folks still need to buy at auction to donate? If daily auction is 100E a day from institutional players looking for a tax write off, that’s cool I guess, but then feels impossible for normal people to buy nouns again, and what’s this community without its active governance base? Yea you could still get delegated to but feels like part of nouns dies when it’s all funded by big guys just looking for a tax break
gotta log off for a bit, I'll let everyone else catch up
my impression when watching this
cool I guess but we can do better
Just landed a new trick I love this thing
can someone hit me with a concrete example of a situation in which a token holder would be held liable in a way that would be damaging?

imo the only potential appeal of duna is if there is a real, tangible risk to owning a noun because of the threat of legal liability.

but as someone with basically no law experience I don't know what types of situations might exist where token holders could be held liable.

if there are none, or if the likelihood of these situations are extremely small, then I don't think it's worth taking on the downsides of DUNA, and the pros feel more like fantasyland whatifs
thinking about using /the-pond as a link dump for things I've enjoyed on the internet

Never really appreciated how AI art could be _art_ until finding Stephan Vasement's work. Really feels like these outputs take practice, taste, and intentionality

not vibin with the ✧ from zora. It's just another layer of pricing abstraction to think through and feels like a solution looking for a problem. usdc is the best pricing, it doesn't need to be cute
Is it possible (within legal bounds of DUNA) to fully eliminate refund? Imo, the fork was designed for minority protection, not for RQ or refund. If we have to eliminate fork for legal reasons related to DUNA, it doesn't make sense to me that it's replaced with a refund mechanism. The point of fork was never for refunds (although that's what it turned out to be used for...) The DAO is better off without refunds.
one of the benefits of multi glasses is you can turn them into monocles if one of the colors is the same as the head color

708 is one of my favorite nouns for that reason
camp needs to show how much of the yearly inflow we've already spent
"15% of 1Y inflow projection, 445% of 1Y inflow already spent"

tbh it probably wouldn't change anything but the treasury is just going down down down down down down down down down get your props in while you can!
