It's cool to see @zora mentioned in @a16z's latest report.

Zora is leading the way in onchain social at >95% of the market.

Note: chart on the right is from dune not from the report.
tap view on zora and this will open up in the app.

then you can double tap to mint right there.

big little detail: zora links now open the app!

Here are some thoughts I shared on the most recent upgrade:

tldr: happy with it so far, >100x in secondary activity, room to improve on UX
love that @mikedemarais.eth still uses the rainbow image I made for him a couple of years ago as his zoom background
i agree, the pieces are here now: you can pair @zora protocol with @base infra.

if you are interested in building something like this on zora let me know. i can share all of our learnings from when we tried it the first time.

the tldr: you need to get good at storage and logistics.

This has been fascinating from a memecoin perspective—since it's had no clear schelling point.

Unclear ticker since the name wasn't known for a while. Search is bad since it's a porpoise not a dolphin.

The net result has been 3 memecoins that have inhibited each others value, even though the meme is viral.

Launching an L2 is like launching a website: it doesn’t really matter unless you’ve built something people want.

There was outsized attention in the early days just for launching one, but that has rapidly diminished.

It’s just a part of the tech stack; but it’s not a thing in and of itself.
The beauty of an open protocol is that anyone can build their own unique experiences on it.

artrun.io has built a pumpfun style app on the zora protocol, and it's immediately revealed how much activity is happening on it at any given moment and is driving a lot of new minting and trading.

if you feel you are seeing things that are framed as predictions but feel extremely obvious and right to you, that's a signal to pay attention to from an investment/building/hypothesis standpoint—but beware of confirmation bias (yay uncertainty everywhere).

This broke my brain, both are right.

To bold, this is statement is completely obvious and has already happened within a small pocket of the internet already.

From Chris' perspective, it is only just now obvious, and to the rest of the internet (a lot of his audience)it actually has not happened yet.

zora is one of the top domains shared on farcaster
i really enjoyed this conversation with @jake:
The more prediction markets are seen as a source of truth for elections the greater the incentive to put campaign spending towards it.

In a way it’s a pure form of war of attrition.
I’d pay warps per character to be able to edit casts.
pre-bullish with a chance of correction
Identifying and navigating out of local maximums is the primary job of founders.

Large and innovative product changes look and feel like this chart.

You have painful and short term transition to a new thing, that then sets you on a path to a higher path you wouldn't have achieved otherwise.

learning old thoughts about old things leads to new thoughts on new things

channel crypto don’t dilute it
i love how such seemingly small changes can have such a large overall impact on the feel of a product. warpcast feels great.
The right agent should be able to maximize taste/nutrition per $ spent.

taking into account personal preferences, local availability, cooking difficulty (if not buying elsewhere) and a given nutritional goal.

It’s a well established field but is a lot of manual work which is why it’s a great candidate for AI.
