Lee Bontecou, Untitled, 1963. Graphite and soot on circular-shaped stretched muslin.
Love Bontecou's dreamy monochromes, her sculptures even more so.

Generative juvenilia:
Animated GIF, created sometime late 1990's for my personal web site (evolutionzone.com, now a squatted domain), upsampled from 240x180 pixels.
The original graphics were 3D models generated with Java and rendered in POV-Ray, reduced to harsh B/W.

Michael Hansmeyer - Subdivided Columns (2010-)
An early example of parametric baroque, Hansmeyer's subdivision extravaganza leaves me puzzled.
I admire the tech and (parts of) the geometry, but the pseudo-fantasy framing makes me expect high-tech elves to show up.

Been enjoying the portfolio of Vera van de Seyp (NL), a Dutch conputational designer based in Amsterdam and New York.
Before attending MIT Media Lab she trained as a classic graphic designer, but she's been going hard on code as an expressive medium. One to watch!
