More 90's graphic design: P. Scott Makela was an influential pioneer of 90's po-mo inspired, experimental graphic design. His work spanned print, video and type design.

With Laurie Haycock he co-chaired the 2D program at Cranbrook Academy of Art, 1996-99.

April Greiman, poster for UCLA Summer Sessions, 1991. Offset lithography

Not my favorite part of 90's graphic design, but make no mistake, this was radical in '91. Somewhere between analog and digital, at a time when digital was far from easy.

That's some artist list. Happy to be on it.

When I was a kid, anyone who had a Caran d'Ache coloring kit was on par with the kids who had a big He-Man collection. You knew there was money behind it.

We even pronounced the name correctly, which I assume must have come from the grandparents who proudly gave expensive gifts...

“To put it country simple, Earth has a lot of things other folks might want. Like the whole planet. And maybe these folks would like a few changes made.”
Another piece of mail last week: "Trajectoire" by @strano.eth, along with a sample plot of the bitmap-to-SVG tool we collab'ed on recently. 🖤🙏

It was a blast to work with Strano on this, the tool is pretty simple but he's already used it to great effect. Turns out plotters are a great way to connect with people, who knew!

Proud recent additions to my collection: "Blocks'7" by
Marc Maurer @marc93 and "Unknown" (a gift from Marc), straight from Kazakhstan.

The best thing about the NFT scene is being able to "meet" new artists and collect their work. Also, art in the mail! 💎💎💎

"Blocks" is a collections of 10 plotter drawings, 5 are still available:

Don’t forget: Crypto is best measured in pizza units.

Slice money, pie money, pizza party money, pizza oven money, congratulations on your new pizza restaurant.
Big Freedia - Drop, still love some bounce, consider myself lucky to have caught Freedia live in NYC mid-2010's.

Anyone get a DM with someone telling you that you've upset some "serious" person in the NFT world, and would you like to get on a chat with them?

Felt 100% like a scam, so I declined. But who knows, maybe there really is someone out there who feels I've "insulted their family" and whom I've told to "fuck off". You'd think I would remember doing that, tho.
Well, hello, old friend! Piece from 1996 or so, used to make characters back then.

Listen to those solenoids go around the curves. 😍

Still playing with space filling structures. Struggling to work with precision in Blender, I miss Rhino's UI for work like this.

On the other hand, Blender modifiers and preview renders keep me entertained.

Kudos to the @rodeodotclub dev team for continuing to bring new features. I badly needed the notifications option! :)

Users always want more, though. My mints page is getting endless, any chance of adding filters to group them?

Ideas:
- Mints grouped by month (even week, maybe?)
- Mints by artists (artist list and maybe a top 10 fave artists would also be wonderful..)
- Options for grid size (3x/row default is great for mobile, on desktop 6-8x/ row or larger thumbnails would be sweet)
I posted a Twitter (sorry!) thread about @rodeodotclub, breaking down some of the issues I see but most importantly trying to highlight examples of people using Rodeo as its own thing - a new way to explore their work.
