In short order AI agents will provide estimating services for construction. This is super rudimentary right now, but with a little coaxing ChatGPT can get pretty close takeoffs, local pricing, and probably provide directions to the lumber yard.

Even if the pro prefer to lean on their subs, this will provide some level of transparency and confidence for inexperienced clients.

this is why knowing a builder or two never hurts
